Greystanes FC would like to build a new BBQ area and we are looking for a local business to sponsor this initiative.
The existing BBQ facility was built in the 1980’s and is in need of modernisation, repositioning and enlarging. Our BBQ area is well patronised and is an important part of our football community. If you, or someone you know, can help OUR Club with building a new BBQ please contact Geoff (0466 639 414) Dave (0416 293 915) or Eamonn (0419 877 877).

U21/1 Stunning Half-Time Comeback
Greystanes FC U/21-1 Black Champion of Champions quarter final winners, this past weekend at Ray Marshall Reserve. Congratulations team.
Starting with 10 players only and going to sheds at half-time down 3 - 0; you would think that was the end for Greystanes FC but you would be wrong, with this team of champions. In the second half they picked themselves up and proceeded to send Carlton Rovers (St George Association) into a state of shock & awe belting 5 goals into the back net and conceding just the one.
Playing with 1 striker (4 - 4 - 1) but not wanting to rest on their laurels they decided to push forward with another striker resulting with goals 1 & 2 being scored within 4 minutes. At the 18th minute the equaliser was in the bag, 3 - 3. Our 4th goal came in the 25th minute and then with just 12 minutes on the clock the Rovers levelled with their only second-half goal. Nail-biting stuff!
Now at 4 - 4, and still at 10 players, Greystanes FC (and the Rovers?) did not want risk going into extra time however, a great header from a 25 metre free kick sealed the win for Greystanes FC... with just 5 minutes to go. Eventual winners in normal time 5 to 4.
"It was the best ever comeback I have seen, with only 10 men. Great effort!" a calm Geoff Tinker reported.
The goal-scorers, Kwabena 3 goals (having played whole 1st half at centre back), Kara x 1 and Aara x 1 were supported in an outstanding effort by the entire team.
Semi Final 11th October 2015 vs Polonia Rams (Blacktown District) at 1.45pm on Sunday 11th October at Football Park #1, Eastern Road, Rooty Hill.
Final scheduled for 18th October 2015.
Keep Our Parks Clean
Please put rubbish in the bin
No one likes visiting a park and seeing items of rubbish everywhere so please put all rubbish in the bins located around the park for your convenience.
Litter includes items like cigarette butts, food scraps, bottles and packaging. But littering isn’t just ugly. It is an environmental problem. Littering pollutes our parks and causes environmental damage. Littering can also affect an area’s image.
Would you play in a park with litter all around you?
