Greystanes FC supports Football NSW By‐Law 11.5(d) that creates a misconduct offence involving:
“…improper, threatening, abusive, indecent, insulting or discriminatory whether by words or behaviour by reason of persons of ethnical origin, colour, race, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation or disability or any other reason…”
Breaches of this By-Law will not be tolerated!
GDSFA By-Laws Extract
9. Zero Tolerance
The GDSFA endorses a zero tolerance policy in relation to violence on the soccer field as a basic presumption.
a. Teams shall be held responsible for the behaviour of their officials and spectators.
b. Where;
I. A member of a team or associated team official is found guilty of physical assault upon a match official; or
II. A team is found guilty of unsportsmanlike behaviour or of bringing the game into disrepute, regardless of whether the game has been abandoned, or whether such behaviour is before, during, or after the game;
The team shall forfeit twelve (12) competition points, or be withdrawn from the competition for a period to be determined. This will be in addition to any penalties imposed under clause 8(e).
c. The right to appeal the penalties imposed under clause 9(b) shall be waived by the clubs pursuant to the resolution (Not to appeal a team’s expulsion if so determined by the MC) unanimously passed and adopted in the June 2005 General Meeting.
d. Teams and/or team officials found guilty of more than one offence under clause 9(b) in the same calendar year will be withdrawn from the competition for a period to be determined.
10. Club and Team Behaviour
a. Where a member of a team or associated team official is found guilty of physical assault upon a referee the team shall forfeit twelve (12) competition points, or be withdrawn from the competition for a period to be determined.
b. Teams found guilty of unsportsmanlike behaviour or of bringing the game into disrepute shall loose 12 competition points, or be withdrawn from the competition for a period to be determined.
c. Teams and/or team officials found guilty of more than one offence mentioned above in the same calendar year will be withdrawn from the competition for a period to be determined.
Teams found guilty of more than one offence under (a) or (b) in the same calendar year will be withdrawn from the competition.
