📌 GDSFA request all clubs to follow new guidelines for spectators at games.
Essentially, as a club we want to see players get through the season so we ask that we all support the association's request and :
📍 Have no spectators at senior football games.📍 Limit spectators at junior and Miniroos games.
📍 Maintain social distancing for any junior games crowds.
📍 Limit the game day bench to coach only (preferred) or 1 coach & 1 manager (max.).
📍 Keep attendance sheets for contact tracing.
📍 Follow all other COVID-19 guidelines. Once again we thank you all for being part of our football family.

Senior Games – We are advising no more spectators for the remainder of the season:
...at the Club General Meeting it has been decided by the Judiciary & Board that as of this weekend we are advising all clubs to communicate to your members that spectators are not to attend senior games any more.
This advice is being given for the safety and protection of your volunteers as well as the players/teams themselves. We understand that it may be a challenge to manage but if we can get those that are coming to watch to respect this advice it will help tremendously with these two points:-
- If we can play our part in reducing the amount of spectators attending games it will help reduce the possibility of a second wave of COVID-19, given what we are seeing on Victoria and numbers slowly creeping up in NSW.
- It will also act as deterrent to any further pitch invasions & melees breaking out as we have experienced over 3 successive weekends, not forgetting Police being called to two of these.
We ask that you inform your Coaches, Volunteers and Players to ensure this message is shared.
I understand there will be kick back on this, but I ask that you please support this initiative for the time being so that we can play our part in a second wave of covid and ending our season and safeguarding our people & players.
