GDSFA Football Operations Manager, Michael Briggs, retires on the 15th November, 2017 after 10 years in the role.

He became an administrator with Pendle Hill (GDSFA) in 1983 then moved to Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association (GDSFA) as Secretary from 1995 to 2010 and accepted the role full-time in 2007.

Michael started playing in the 50’s when soccer balls were made of leather, played as many games as you like a day and even played during wet weather. He started with Ryde RSL followed by Gladesville Ravens, Marsfield, North Sydney Inter and Parkes.

Greystanes FC wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement. We also thank him for his service to the game, friendship and support of our Club both as a parent and an administrator.

Football NSW has officially announced the two lucky ALDI MiniRoos club winners (Greystanes FC Under 7 and Shellharbour Junior Football Club - SJFC Under 8 Reds) that have won the opportunity to take on the mighty Gunnersaurus Rex in a half-time penalty shoot when Arsenal come to town taking on both Sydney FC and the Western Sydney Wanderers FC.
