Covid-19 Notice

Our National Governing Body, Football Federation Australia (FFA) has released an updated Circular (Circular No 20-06), suspending all community football activities effective from 12:00am on 18 March 2020, all sanctioned grassroots football activity in Australia will be suspended until 14th April, 2020 31st May, 2020.

In accordance with this directive, Greystanes FC has temporarily suspended training and games until further advice is received.

We welcome all players from ages 5 to over 45. Online registration is open from early January for all players. All registrations must be completed online except as listed below.

In-person registrations are available at the end of January but are restricted to anyone having difficulty with online self-registration, to submit necessary documents if new to the Greystanes FC club, to pay your registration fees or for any other general enquires. Dates & times will be advertised on the registration page & events page...

grading, uniforms & more

After the initial registration period closes the Club schedules dates & times to have all players graded and/or placed into teams. This process is usually conducted at the end of registrations over a two week period...
miniroos

miniroos for children 5 - 11

MiniRoos is a smaller version of football that provides boys and girls aged 5 - 11 with a fun introduction to football.

MiniRoos is designed for kids; it is all about having fun and learning new skills. Delivered by Greystanes FC (along with other grassroots clubs across Australia), MiniRoos provides opportunities for boys and girls of all abilities to play football. Football is the game that everyone can play!

health, safety & insurance

The health and safety of all participants is of primary concern for Greystanes FC. Applicable recommendations, policies & guidelines have been adopted from Football NSW.

Registered participants are covered by insurance during Club sports activities.

The Club invested in three defibrillator units which included user training. One unit is for use at Bathurst street and the other units are for use at our other grounds.

Smoking is banned in NSW in all spectator areas of all sports grounds during organised sport events. Fines of up to $550 apply for breaches by individuals who fail to comply.

Sporting clubs such as ours play a significant role in the community and have a responsibility to our members and their families. We have chosen to join over 6,500 clubs across Australia taking part in the Australian Drug Foundation’s Good Sports program.

Through Good Sports we are committed to managing alcohol responsibly and ensuring smoke free areas, which we believe will help us to provide a healthy, safe and family friendly environment.

who we are

We are an amateur football club. Greystanes FC (incorporated) is our legal full name; it isn't expanded at all.

We can accomodate all members of your family with age groups from 5 to over 45. We have served the Greystanes community successfully since 1970.

The Club is run by a volunteer committee and is supported weekly by parents & senior players.

Everyone helps, everybody wins!

what we wear

This is our official Club game shirt (since the 2016 winter season) along with monogrammed black socks (previously white) and black shorts it makes up our official uniform. The uniform must worn for all regular competition games during the winter season. Shirts are provided by the Club for all competition games on a weekly basis.

Shorts & socks are available for purchase, from the Club. Boots, shins guards & other equipment may be purchased from any sports store, in any colour. Our Premier League teams wear a different uniform.

Club merchandise, for players & supporters, is available for purchase from our online store. All purchases support the Club financially.

Bathurst Street Park is our Home & main ground. It caters to all miniroos, junior and senior age groups. Full canteen service and change room facilities are available. The other grounds handle overflow as required.

The club was established in 1970 and currently, has approximately 800 registered players. It is run by a volunteer committee.

 Granville and Districts Soccer Football Association | Governing body for football clubs within the Cumberland Council LGA and City of Parramatta LGA.
Established in 1900, the GDSFA is Australia’s oldest football soccer association and is affliated with FNSW.

 Granville District Football Referees Association | The GDFRA provides referring services to GDSFA and affiliated clubs.
The referees' association was established in 1908.

 Football NSW | Governing body for football in the state of New South Wales (Australia), except the northern regions of NSW.
FNSW is a member of the national governing body, FFA.

 Football Australia | Governing body for Football in Australia, overseeing the state governing bodies for football.

 Ultraviolet Index | The ultraviolet index is an international standard measurement of the strength of sunburn-producing ultraviolet (UV) radiation at a particular place and time. The UV Index is a tool you can use to protect yourself from UV radiation. The World Health Organization's Global Solar UV Index measures UV levels on a scale from 0 (Low) to 11+ (Extreme). Sun protection is recommended when UV levels are 3 (Moderate) or higher.

 Air Quality Index | The Air quality index (AQI) is used to show how polluted the air currently is. The Australian scale ranges from 0 (very good) to 200+ (hazardous to health).
