Park Information for Visitors

Please Read

We would appreciate it if you could read through the contents of this page, as it offers essential safety information for the parks we use. This includes the locations of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), along with safety policies and the expected behavior of visitors, spectators and supporters during training sessions and games conducted at our parks.

Additionally, you will find a detailed layout map of Bathurst Street Park, as well as the addresses and directions to other grounds utilised in our competitions.

Home Ground

Our home ground is Bathurst Street Park.

Majority of games are played at Bathurst Street Park with overflow at Alpha Road Park. Scroll down the page for more info & directions.

Historical Significance

  • Bathurst Street Park was dedicated as open space in sections between 1965 and 1973
  • The park was developed for playing fields in 1969
  • The hall, equipment store and toilet block were developed in 1972
  • The football (soccer) pavilion and amenities were constructed in 1991
  • The tennis courts and amenities block were developed in the early 1980s

Code of Behaviour for Spectators & Supporters

Our commitment

Our club is committed to providing a safe environment for participation. Aggressive, threatening or other inappropriate behaviour by members, their families, their friends and other sporting personnel while attending a game or event will not be tolerated.

In the best interest of our Players, Coaches, Managers and Match Officials, it is expected that our spectators will:

  • remember that children participate in sport for their enjoyment

  • respect the decisions of match officials and teach children to do the same

  • never ridicule or unduly scold a child for making a mistake

  • respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, race, colour, religion, language, politics, national or ethnic origin

  • refrain from the use of bad language

  • not use violence in any form, whether it is against other spectators, Coaches, Managers, Match Officials or Players

  • not engage in discrimination, harassment or abuse in any form, including the use of obscene or offensive language or gestures, the incitement of hatred or violence or partaking in indecent or racist chanting

  • conduct themselves in a manner that enhances, rather than injures the reputation and goodwill of Greystanes FC and football in general.

Non-Compliance

Any person who does not comply with this Spectator Code of Behaviour or who otherwise causes a disturbance, may be evicted from our venue, banned from attending future matches and may incur a fine for your associated team.

Please take care with pedestrians, especially children, when driving and parking your vehicle.

To avoid hitting pedestrians:

  • Be alert - scan your surroundings

  • Avoid distractions. e.g. mobile devices

  • Drive below 10kmph around grounds and carparks

  • Expect children, pedestrians and other vehicles to do the unexpected

No Smoking | No Vaping

The smoking ban applies to all spectator areas at sports grounds and other recreational areas when they are being used for an organised sporting event. 

  • The law applies to both covered and uncovered spectator areas and whether seating is provided or not
  • A spectator area is an area set aside for or being used by spectators to watch an organised sporting event at a sports ground or other recreational area but only when an organised sporting event is being held there
  • The smoking ban applies for the entire duration of the organised sporting event. This includes pre match and half time games and entertainment that form part of the sporting event
  • Practice / training sessions are regarded as an organised sporting events for the purposes of the Act
  • No smoking near children's playground equipment. Smoking is banned within 10 metres of children’s play equipment in local parks and reserves as well as play equipment at sporting venues
  • The ban is in place even if no signage is not displayed to indicate where smoking is not permitted

Help us create a positive, enjoyable and safe environment at the park by not consuming alcoholic drinks within the park grounds.

You are welcome to have a great time at the park, playing football, other sports and embracing a healthy outdoor lifestyle.

Alcohol is prohibited in Council’s parks and sportgrounds.

The park is here for the community's benefit and enjoyment. 

It's a great spot for all of us to have fun playing football, other sports and embracing a healthy outdoor lifestyle. 

To keep it clean and safe for everyone's benefit, please use the rubbish bins provided or take your rubbish with you.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest

  1. An automated external defibrillator (AED) is located in the canteen at Bathurst Street Park.

  2. A monitored automated external defibrillator (AED) is located on the outside wall of the canteen building, opposite the BBQ.

  3. A monitored automated external defibrillator (AED) is located at Alpha Road Park on the outside of the canteen building.

EVERY SECOND counts!

It is vital that witnesses of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest immediately call triple zero (000); start CPR and apply an automatic external defibrillator (AED). These three dynamic steps alone could significantly improve the chances of the person surviving.
